I am outraged angry furious and very upset that America is removing aspartme drinks from its pepsi and diet pepsi drinks but Britain are refusing to do it as it is a commercial decision. Aspartme is a dangerous additive with lots of health risks and pepsi schweppes in the UK are more interested in profit. I will never drink another pepsi drink

Wouldn`t that be a good reason to patronise Pepsi because they are making a stand? There are a million products that you could boycott in this country because they contain aspartame. What happens in the US tends to eventually happen here so maybe Pepsi are to be applauded.
ok .... thanls for the interesting information on your beverage habits.

Good on you Geordie, no-one is or ever has forced you or anyone else to drink it.
"Regulators in the UK and the US insist aspartame is still safe to use in soft drinks."
I know concerns have been expressed but I'm not sure whether there is any evidence of health risks.
>>>Aspartme (sic) is a dangerous additive with lots of health risks

Not according to the European Food Safety Authority
http://www.efsa.europa.eu/en/press/news/131210.htm
or, indeed, our own Food Standards Agency
https://www.food.gov.uk/science/additives/aspartame
I will start a petition - "Leave my Pepsi Max alone". I need all the chemicals that I can get to help me through the day.

There in no proof that Aspartame is dangerous or bad for people. I drink bottles of it each day and do so willingly. In fact I am just away to drink another bottle.
If you drink this crap, I am not surprised,

Where do I sign?
Wobbly-pop (BEER) is a healthful drink: It contains one dose of vitamin B; two doses of vitamin E; and one dose of Riboflavin.
you could switch to Coke Life, that doesn't have aspartame. The one with the green label.
ice in the field, as you stroll across to the watering hole, stuey, is dangerous as well.
Ice is long gone, DTC; however, it's not that warm yet: only about 10 degrees today. You people having a warm Spring?
20 degrees when the sun's out and 5 when it's not, stuey.
going to be close to 0 tonight, even down here deep in the SW - got the cherry wood in the fireplace for a long, slow burn overnight and keep some warmth in the house without turning on the central heating!
Aspartame aside...everything else in cola drinks is SO healthy, of course.
(I don't drink any of them...so I've boycotted the lot).
Imagine how much colder it would be without global warming!:)
Well, you certainly like a moan, Gordie!
Just drink wine, not cola or even water - after all, fish make love in that......
Just don't drink it then - no need to be outraged, angry, furious and very upset about it, no one's holding a gun to your head.
If you are going to boycott Pepsi, you had better add the following to your banned list:

7 Up
Walkers crisps & Doritos
Tropicana & Copella fruit juices
Scott's oats and Quaker oats
