Ipad 2 Email Problems - Help

Hope I make sense here, I feel as if I am going mad!! I have just updated my Ipad 2 with the latest version and now I have problem with my email - please help!! I delete emails from my Inbox, then go to my Trash box, I then select delete all, they disappear. I go back to my Inbox and more emails start downloading. e.g. lets say I delete 100 emails from my trash, go back to my inbox and another 100 emails will download. not the ones I have deleted, but earlier ones. It seems as if it is reloading all the emails I have ever had. How can I fix it, is it something in settings I should be changing?

Make sure you manage your email account by accessing it via safari. The icon on your iPad s just makes emailing etc easier. By accessing via safari you can then delete all the unwanted stuff including the trash.
