Do they have the same guarantee on products as normal shops?

My son bought an ipod late December and it won't turn on. It was fully charged, he hasn't damaged it, it just decided to not turn on.

Looked at my order history and it says item cannot be returned, but I'm assuming that the 28 day change of mind rule.

Do I contact Amazon or the seller?

Ah I see. From the OP I interpreted that to mean you have only just tried switching it on and it failed to come on. Best of luck with it then. Sounds as if the 28 day thing has no relevance to a warranty issue.
I've sent quite a few things back to Amazon and have never had a problem, even at Christmas time, they are normally really quick to get things sorted, as negative feedback is never good.
Ummmm You'd need to search for it but I'm certain theres a way of doing like a control-alt-delete with them... had to do the same with my Ipod classic not sure what the scenario is with your kid's pod.... do you have a local apple shop???
Has this laddie got it?

Cheers Slapshot. I'll have to wait for him to get up.

Got an email back from Amazon. It's a bit early for me to take the information in but it's basically instructions on how to return it to a third party.

I'll have more info by 7am. He comes downstairs at 7am precisely :-)

It's working again...lol

I asked him what he done but he doesn't know he just said it turned on. I'll keep an eye on it.
Typical.
