childrens ISA
I have a childs savings account with Barclays. I have no idea if the interest rate is very good. I chose this over an ISA as with an ISA, when the child turns 18 then can access the money and do what they like with it, whereas with the savings account I have control over it. Whilst my daughter is lovely now, she might be a complete nightmare at 18 and spend it all on a load of rubbish!
agree with SN although i didn't write it. I have a child savings account with lloyds (it's 3% atm i think) for my daughter. That way, i can still get at the money if i need it, and i still have control of it
