It's a modern take on di Vinci's Vitruvian man.
I'm not sure how many sausage rolls UKIP thought would buy a vote. The incident was featured in the news last week. With all the furore about it the offer is probably closed now.

The government's shares purchased in the bank bail out were always going to be sold at some point. The shares are doing much better than they have been so it seems quite a good time to sell them to reimburse the taxpayers

It wasn't just people who will have the funds to invest who bailed out the banks. It was all of us. Could the government not make the sale then divide the returns equally among all taxpayers?
