Phillips sonicare diamondclean rechargeable electric toothbrush for £124.99 (reduced from the rrp of £250). Has anyone on here ever paid that much for a toothbrush and, if so, was it worth it?

Oh my goodness !!!

Does rrp stand for reckoned ripoff price ?

I do not know, but I suspect at that price it's more to do with the feel good feeling one can get from lavishing expensive gifts on oneself; than something justifiable because of the vastly improved results you get.
We bought a Diamondclean several years ago when they first came out. The price, again on offer, was about £100, with a fornight's money-back guarantee if you didn't like it. It comes with a tumbler, which doubles as a charger base; you can also charge it via USB in the travel case provided.
In all honesty, to me, it's no better than the cheaper models Philips produce and I wouldn't buy another one. I do like Sonicare in general but I found the handle too thin for me, so my wife uses the Diamondclean and I use their £40 model.
i prefer the sonicare that comes with a UV disinfector facility
