You should study disaster management in order to become really good at managing disasters.
The clue's in the title of the qualification.
Because people will always be needed who are skilled in picking up the pieces after an earthquake, volcanic eruption, social conflict, tsunami or major air crash. Such events need individuals who can organise help for survivors, make the area safe, draft in food, shelter and adequate water, arrange accommodation for relatives of dead/injured. This kind of job cannot be left to amateurs. It needs people who are slow to panic, compassionate, and intelligent, who are natural organisers and who can reassure both survivors and other rescuers but above all it needs people who know what they are doing. And for that you need training. Go for it. And good luck.
no idea
someone's got to.
All good companies should have a robust disaster management plan, not necessarily called that for the very reasons stated by chanel. It's actually a duty of care employers have to ensure their staff are protected by any unforseen event which causes risk to the business. Where I work it's called the Business Continuity Plan.
