We need something to fill in the potholes in our drive - it's not metalled (it ws, but that was 50 years ago I'd guess!).
Don't know what the stuff is called, so difficult to track it down!

If your drive is concrete then you could use concrete to fill the potholes.

Not concrete.
It's basically a farm track/drive
Ah right, It' got to be something that is going to stay in the potholes though.
The best stuff is road planings. This is the tarmac that is planed off before resurfacing is done. If you don't know any companies that do it round your way, phone your local council Highways Dept and ask if there is any re-surfacing works in your area. You say 'potholes'...how much would you want? We deliver it in 20 tonne loads, but you might be able to get some smaller loads. If you live East Midlands, tell me whereabouts you live and I might be able to suggest someone to go to. Don't just use hardcore or type 1 as it will just pick out of the hole again. Also, try and 'square up' the holes a bit to make it harder for the stone to pick out.

Thank you for that.
As we live in SW Scotland so I don't think you'll have any local contacts!
As you say, can't help...sorry!
