Cashing A Travellers Cheque.....

Hello all.

I have a £20 Sterling Travellers Cheque through American Express and was wondering if it can be cashed back into Sterling cash?

If it can, where can I get it processed please, as alot of the travel agents appear to stop doing Travellers Cheques.

I had to make a fuss at my bank to get a Travellers Cheque cashed. I had a Barclays TC and bank with Nationwide. Barclays wouldn't cash the TC as I didn't bank with them. Nationwide said they woul only cash it at my own branch. My local branch wouldn't cash it as I have a Flex Direct account which is supposed to be online only. At this point I lost my temper, and the TC was cashed within minutes.
