We have 2 other wise healthy camellias but the flowers on the white one turn brown very quickly after opening. Can anyone suggest what is causing this please?

frost damage is the likely cause.....

Thank you DTwordfan
loads of camelias out here, the magnolias were spectacular though, best they have been in years...I posted a pic not long ago.
I agree, sharp frosts and chilly north/east winds will do that.
If you can provide shelter from the elements they will fair bettter.

Thank you all for your help
They take huge amounts of water, too, gran - we've had no frost for weeks, but mine still brown quickly. Make sure you water them well.
It was a belief at Uni that if you had not started your revision before the magnolia bloomed in the grounds you had left it too late.
Camellias should not face the rising sun. They should not be in full sun until at least mid-morning.
Really? The ones round here which have been blooming already for longer than mine, face east, and do really well. Mine gets the sun about 11am when it moves round.
My beautiful camellia that is in full flower now gets the early morning sun. It is 25 years old and thriving.

Still having problems with our camellias. They form buds flower briefly and before the flower is fully formed they turn brown. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?
