I have a shiny mark on some black trousers after ironing the creases with too hot an iron. Can anyone suggest what I can do to remove it please. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What mateial are they made from? If you have actully melted the fabric there is nothing you can do.

I read somewhere that you rinse a cloth in water and white vinegar, lay it over the shiny area and iron it. I haven't tried it, but can't see it would do any harm to try it. There may be a lingering smell of vinegar!
