Ok there's fun and games at Lowes ...one male and two females !!
Question Author
Right, the male brought back a fish and the bird on the nest fairly ripped it off him and flew off with it.

Now she is back on the nest, getting stuck into the fish like she hasn't seen a square meal in a month .....I'm just sitting here with my fingers crossed !!
It's causing a bit of a stir on the Dyfi osprey chat room.
Question Author
I can't get that at the moment, melv ....is there any speculation about the identity ?

I don't know the male well enough to be sure, but he(?) is just sitting on the side ofthe nest, while the female (?) is stuffing her face like there's no tomorrow!!
They're saying it's an unringed, unknown female, seekeerz.
seeks, the male is Laddie and the one stuffing her face is the new unringed female who turned up a couple of days ago.
The chat at Dyfi is about a possible intruder, probably male. (and the fact that the poor fish is still flapping.)

Thanks melv, I'm still hoping the dear old Lady will materialise
The new female is quite easy to distinguish as she has a definite dark Y shape on her head and a very pale tail.
Question Author
Ok thanks for the update Tilly, when I saw her first this morning I didn't realise it was the female that arrived Tuesday.

There certainly were three birds at the nest, though only for a few seconds !
I missed that, seeks. Too many webcams on the go!
The blog on the Lowes site is very specific now that it isn't Lady, she's not been seen as yet, but the new female is making herself at home with Laddie.
