I apologise, AOG. I hadn't noticed you'd already opened the batting on this topic.
AOG - // With the mind set of a certain Aber on my thread regarding to this news story, they are most likely have every right for some compensation from the Turkish authorities for wrongful arrest, after all they only wanted to enjoy a holiday in Syria. //

You cannot withdraw legally available support fort UK citizens simply because you don't like the idea that they may have been ready to join a terrorist organisation - that's not how the law works.
No doubt.
What is it with this nanny state of a country, when these youngsters cant go on a small trip to visit other countries without HMG intervening to stop them? I would think if these numpties want to go to their Islamic heaven ,I say let them go and take more of their ilk with them. Then send in the Yankee drones.

I responded to another thread where people, including yourself, advocated occurences such as - in no particular order - bombing people out of the sky / FGM (your suggestion) / tracking devices for missiles / being shot / none-removable explosive vests / tattooes on foreheads, and being sterilised.

How can you possible may claim to the moral high ground on the actions of terrorists, when you casually advocate FGM for young women because it will 'serve them right'.

I think your cold-hearted plans for other humans beggars belief, and I am seriously glad that you will never be in a position of power where you could implement your barbaric notions,
These very same people would have no compunction from doing those very said things to you or me(apart from the FGM,of course),so why the hell should we any compunction for them.
Do you have a link to this thread please?
icecreamicecream - //These very same people would have no compunction from doing those very said things to you or me(apart from the FGM,of course),so why the hell should we any compunction for them. //

Indeed, the FGM appears to be a special treat you have reserved for young women who'se support of their culture and religion, however misguided, seems to attract the most barbaric punishment available, at the tap of your keyboard.

I would not suggest that compunction for any terrorist is desireable in any way - but neither is being as casually savage and dismissive of human life, which is your stance on this thread.

That simply points you out as being as barbaric and callous as any terrorist - and if that position fits, then you have no problems.
These youngsters decided to lie down with the dogs,if they get fleas that's their problem.
icecreamicecream - any and all of the opinions I post on any thread on any section of this site, I would say out loud in a room full of people of any age, and any religion.

Can you honestly say the same?
As long as Jihadi John wasn't there with his beheading knife, yes I would.Im big enough to look after myself.
icecreamicecream - //As long as Jihadi John wasn't there with his beheading knife, yes I would.Im big enough to look after myself. //

Brave words - when seated in front of your screen.
But i thought these people welcomed death,or so we are told often enough,Andy....So why the hell should we dissuade them from their desires.I don't welcome death,i prefer life.
icecreamicecream - //But i thought these people welcomed death,or so we are told often enough,Andy....//

Told by a media with an agenda which sells papers and attracts website traffic.

I only know one Muslim, and he is not interested in dying - so I feel a little reluctant to indulge in the casual racial stereotyping that is so prevalent on this section.

I have said before - without response from you on the subject - your casual dismissal of an entire culture based on wooly-headed racist dogma, including your agreement that FGM is a suitable response to young women following a isguided creed, is something I cannot agree with.

As I have said, if it suits you, then fine, but remember, it is a similar hatred of another culture, and casual dismissal of the worth of human life that creates terrorism in the first place.

So about your metaphor regarding lying down with dogs ...

ukanonymous, here's the link you asked for.

So of all the religions on this planet right now which one would you say is killing and bombing and mutilating young girls right now,as we speak?....I,ll give you three guesses.Nah,i,ll give you one guess.
andy-hughes, Perhaps the people you accuse of indulging in what you assume to be casual racial stereotyping know rather more Muslims than you do. Knowing only one, you can hardly claim that your penchant for racial stereotyping – albeit the other way around - emanates from substantial experience.

No argument there - but I am unsure how this explains your casual attitude to death and mutilation which you advised was suitable for young Muslim women who join Isis.

You can't complain that FGM is a barbaric practice one day, when you advocated it a day or so before - can you?
