With so many cooking shows on TV my favourite has to be Raymond Blanc with his wonderful recipes and laid back approach he makes it look so easy.

My second favourite has to be Keith Floyd, although I'd never attempt any of his recipes he made it look so easy on his travels abroad back in the day and his insistence of a slurp during cooking makes it great viewing

Have to agree with those who mentioned Nigella and James Martin.

No mention of Jamie Oliver yet I see?
I like Tom Kerridge and Nigel Slater.
Anyone but John Torode and his sidekick.
I don't watch cookery programmes but I feel obliged to support our local celebrity ;-)

A local chap here, called Ben and he has several FAB restaurants. He has restaurants called The Ginger Pig/Fox/Man. Food and presentation(and price!) and staff are all wonderful.
Jamie Oliver and James Martin.
James Martin and Tom Kerridge
Jamie Oliver hands down for me, he won't win any Michlin Stars anytime soon, but he makes food I'd actually cook.
Manu Feildel.
jean cristophe novelli....and flloyd
Who admits to being old enough to remember The Galloping Gourmet, Gordon Kerr, a Canadian? Himself bought me a set of his cookery cards for our first Christmas, when we were students living on fresh air, I'd never heard of turbot even and the lemons stuffed with sardines never appealed.
zebo..I loved Kerr..think flloyd was very like him !
Having never actually tasted any of the TV Chefs' results, it's impossible to say.
I don't really have a favourite. I like different ones for different reasons. When I think I have a preference for one I usually fin is just the latest favourite.

One definition of chef is one who cooks. Nigella cooks and does so professionally; albeit for her TV programmes rather than a commercial catering business. So I think she qualifies. Doubt she has many official qualification though; not that I'd know.
Raymond Blanc because he loves his food, you can tell the passion he has, and he uses simple fresh ingredients and is not too 'cheffy'.
My least favourite is Tom Kerridge ,apart from not being able to stand his accent, he rarely tastes his own food because he's on a low carb diet .
quite a lot of them, i enjoy watching the shoes - Keith Floyd was always a favorite and Delia - i've watched Jamie Oliver from the start, Rick stein, tom kerridge is a fave. the gorgeous Michel Roux junior, ken hom, Antonio carluccio, and not strictly chefs but i love their shows, two fat ladies and the hariy bikers

i think its safe to say i like cookery programmes
i forgot hugh - watched the river cottage series from the beginning and before when he used to travel about on a narrow boat and some kind of modified van eating wild and weird foods
St Delia for her straightforward recipes that actually work.
Hugh F-W for his passion and his brilliant recipe books.
Raymond Blanc for his Gallic charm and enthusiasm and the fact that he's one of the patrons of a great local food festival.
Nigel Slater...his recipes work...every time. His enthusiasm for food is contagious, and he's not afraid of butter and cream.
