Over the Weekend, went to see a not too distant Skoda Dealer about his 64 Reg'd Octavia vRS Estate Demonstrator with DSG box and under 2000 miles on the clock. He's just 'phoned to say his Boss has accepted my offer to do a deal and trade in my 2 year old version. In left them a deposit at the weekend so just need them to fit my Number Plates and sort the paperwork, Yippee!

No, there hasn't been an ex demo DSG that I've seen for a while now, so grabbed it while I had the chance!

German, Double clutch, 6 Speed Automatic. Can use fully auto, or manual override with the gearstick + Flappy Paddles on steering wheel.

Dong-Suction-Glass Box....the drive is hard and very Czech to handle....Svejk would appreciate it, no doubt.....

Psybbo, basically a DSG gearbox makes for very fast gear changes about 400th of a second to change gear.

And you don't have to take your foot off the Loud Pedal while it's ^^^^
doing it, unlike a manual box!

The wife drives a Seat Leon. DSG 2.8 litre VR6 7 speed. It's like a time machine. I dare not drive it - I have a heavy right foot.

I will stick to my small Range Rover. I'm scared of her car especially now my son keeps asking to borrow it.

Just had a call to say we're ready to roll, they will deliver about 3pm (put the kettle on, he said) have to go out shortly and remove Dog Guard and all other bits and pieces from the old one.
