If I eat skunk I always want a kitkat later.

That nest must pong to high heaven!
I missed the skunk lunch but I think its fur coat is still there at the moment.

It amazes me how frail those tiny chicks look at this stage and quick they grow into a large and powerful preditor.

They just get stuffed with food!
The other thing that amazes me is, how on earth do them little chicks manage to survive getting squashed of suffocated.
I've had a bald eagle on my arm and it weighed about 8 lbs.

I noticed that the beak hasn't turned yellow yet.
Skunk with the added aroma of trout:-/
Looks like there's plenty of food for the eagles. The mother is tucking into one of the 6 trout that's on the nest.

Apparently, the dark bundle of fur, which keeps moving around the nest, is not a skunk. It's a fisher. I had to look that up. Never heard of it. Some kind of weasely thing
Fisher is a new one on me as well, tilly. I think skunks are a part of the weasel family, or is that porcupines?
