I always have Google as my opening page, but 3 days ago a www.delta-homes page now appears. - I have gone into Tools / Internet Options and re-typed www.google.co.uk, Apply, OK but sure enough when I open IE again this damned Delta-homes page appears. How do get rid of this please

you've acquired a browswer hacker from a site you've recently visited, or as part of something that you've recently downloaded.

this explains how to get rid of the pesky blighter, either by installing an adware remover, or using the step-by-step guide.

You've picked-up up some Malware and it should be an easy matter to remove it by downloading and running a scan with the free edition of Malwarebytes. Do Not accept any offer for a trial of the premium edition which is totally unnecessary.

Hans, I did indeed download and run the malware free software as you suggest, but after re-start, lo-and-behold the damn Delta-Holmes page appears. It did highlight Delta-Holmes in the 'threats discovered' and I confirmed for them to quarantine, but it is still there. ?!?!?!?. Should I now try the other suggestions. My system could be full of downloaded anti-Malware programmes !!
Sorry that I am posting back to you so late in the evening. I am, having problems with my Broadband and am trying to sort-out with BT the failure of service which I keep getting.

Has a scan with Malwarebytes indicated any other items as additional to Delta.?

Did Malwarebytes actually quarantine Delta and have you then clicked to have it deleted.?

I shall look-out tomorrow for your further comments and reply accordingly.
