I have one .. Fantastic!
More please....*sigh*
Presumably, this is about the discovery of copper (at long last)......?
i'm guessing he's gone and misplaced his shirt again ...
At least four times- lucky Demelza!
I've watched him scything about 10 times now......I never realised scything was so interesting.
He could strim my paddock anytime :-)
Moist-moments from the AB wimmin;)
Oh dear, if I knew I'd cause this much fuss I'd never have made the series.
Now if us chaps put a thread up like this about a lady....... we'd be getting scythed... ;0)
PS Aiden was brilliant in Being Human...
Don't think it could have been done better, and there's real chemistry between the two main actors. Really well directed, too - well done BBC!
I'm looking forward to seeing Demelza transform from her Eliza Doolittle character. Now her husband has struck copper, he can afford to lavish beautiful things on her.
I really would have loved to have seen him fight for his first love though.
Question Author
I always thought Ross married Demelza because she was pregnant
it is brill, not as good as musketeers but still gets my vote !!
Does anyone know, is it just the one series and does it encompass all the Poldark books? How many episodes will there be?
I didn't watch the original Poldark so have nothing to compare it to, this one is excellent though. For some reason I thought it was about a sea captains adventures at sea, not a copper mine....
Heard the main chap interviewed on Radio 2 yesterday and he hinted at more to come. This series only covers the first 2 books, apparently.
ethandron; like you i never watched the original and, again like you, i thought it had something to do with the sea. I am watching this series but i sincerely hope that there will be more substance to it than the 'love' angle. If not, they may as well have put it out at 8pm - in the same time slot as the soppy 'Midwives'.
Thanks ken :)
