Could the tories be showing their true colours although a spokesman for the dept of work and pensions says that '' it's wrong and misleading to suggest that any of this is part of our plan''.

Oh, right. Thank you.
I can agree with cutting child benefit after 2 children. Having children is a choice these days (unless you have unexpected twins and I'm sure that sort of discrepancy can be accommodated) and replacing two keeps the workforce stable! Genuine disability is another case.

I don't want to be rich either, by the way, just comfortable enough not to have to worry about feeding us and paying ordinary bills. Nice to be back on line, now shoot me down!
Wouldn't dream of it, jourdain. :o)

Hello jourdain, nice to see you posting again. Are you back in the UK now ?.
Regardless of what you think of the Tory benefits plans, the fact is that they will not be successfully implemented while at the same time the DWP is getting cut almost out of existence.
Hi tony, Yes, arrived after somewhat stressful journeying and the kids managed to connect wires etc. yesterday afternoon. All a bit hazy, insubstantial and pillar-to-post as yet. Sanity seems to be an option towards which I am lurching! --- or, maybe, better not just yet......

The natives are very friendly and the local pub is good :o)

Give it a week or two and you'll be fully sane again, jourdain.
