I have an ancient PC, running Win XP and a laptop running win 8.1.
I've just been on my PC for the first time in aaaages and when I go to facebook, I get the error: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". All other websites are fine, it's only facebook that's the problem.
I've just checked on my laptop and there's nothing wrong with facebook, so the problem has to lie with the PC itself. The internet is fine on my PC, as I can access all other sites, including secure log-in sites, such as banking sites, etc.
What gives, how come I can't access facebook, yet I can access all other web sites ??

I'm using IE, so I thought I'd try firefox and I can access facebook on there.

Any advice please ??

The date and time on the PC are correct, although I'm not sure how to,
////// make sure that the "Data & Time" settings for "Internet Time" point to somewhere sensible like time.windows.com . /////

Im fairly sure I have the latest updates, as a search for "KB2964358" gives 3 results.
Spooky! I could almost have written the same post! IE not responding for the past week so having to use firefox which I cannot get on with. One odd thing was that when the clocks went forward my computer clock went forward by two hours - wonder if that was when things started to go pear shaped?
