I went to my doctors this afternoon and he gave me metronidazole 1 tablet 3 times a day and penicillin 2 tablets 4 times a day both for the next week

I usually get an upset stomach with Penicillin. I hope that you have no side effects and that the antibiotics kick in quickly.

Poor you, Metronidazole is an awful antibiotic to take, can make you feel extremely sick.

I'm sure you've been told that metronidazole is the one antibiotic that can make you very sick if you have even a drop of alcohol. Good luck with your treatment.

You are much better off taking painkillers.

The prescription of antibiotics is inappropriate for a dry socket.
