Recently diagnosed of having the beginnings of arthritis in one ankle and pains in various other joints I've been looking at and trying barefoot and other forms of grounding. Early days, but I feel improvement already, has anyone experience of this phenomenon?

Maybe it's a placebo effect, but I doubt that. Pain in my ankle and arch since last Sept. Had inserts specially made for my shoes which nearly crippled me, Doc gave me Diclofenac tabs which work, but told not to take them too often and nothing else can be done.
For several days I have spent all day barefoot, sat in the garden with feet on the grass reading (about an hour per day), and also done the Kneipp alternate hot and cold water treatment and I'm pleased to report a marked improvement, In fact today I have had no pain at all.
'Cobblers' are the last thing a barefoot-enthusiast needs :0)

LOL^^^...good for you Khandro.......;-)
