A pond snail hitched a ride on a plant bought recently. Taken it out of the fish tank and put it in a pot separate from fish tank as I hear they multiply rapidly. Is this true? is there a way of stopping pond snails from producing baby pond snails?

You sure it was the only one? Hope no eggs have been laid.
Having a few snails in there will do more good than harm as they hoover up that green algae and they aren't that unsightly!
One snail in a fish tank is one less stuck to the bottom of my shoe. Keep it
