I work with alot of Indians, and they were saying there are all sorts of weird things in Indian culture you can't do when there's an eclipse going on - eat, travel etc. It might have something to do with that.

Of course, If you phone the school to find out and they refuse to tell you, I suppose we'll never know.
Perhaps they should not have been in school?
Why wasn't the ethnic minorities (in this case the white children) taken into consideration over this?
