Bought this for daughter to wear to a First Communion in May. I think she'll need something to cover her arms as the do is in Ireland. Any ideas on what type of cardi?

Maybe a little cream shrug or bolero? Pearls or sequins trim?
As you didn't write 'her First Communion' I sort of guessed she was a guest.

Awww Mamya ,that dress is lovely!

Now THAT's the type of dress I was thinking of :-)
It is sweet yes - she can do the whole 'butter wouldn't melt ' act for a few hours.

Rocky sorry to have sidelined the thread - I too think a sheer shawl or floaty pashmina would look bonny.

Ooh, no, don't apologise, the thread is about pretty dresses :)
It is a very pretty dress, rocky.
I'd go for a cream shawl/scarf to cover the shoulders during the Sacrament and for photos outside the Church, and take it off later in the evening - one of those scarves you can tie on your handbag

Thanks Eance, I'll probably go for something like that.
I think whatever you go for will enhance the dress and keep her modest for the Church, I hope she enjoys her day and has a lovely time in Ireland

Thank you :)
A nice summer pashmina in one colour....could be sewn at home or by a friend.
