Would the tub of lard that famously stood in for Hattersley on 'Have I got news for you', be available?

How about you AOG. You could appear with 100 copies of the Daily Mail as your aides memoire.

my apologies sandy,

the Right Hon George Gideon Oliver Osborne MP, heir apparent to the 18th Irish baronetcy of Osborne of Ballentaylor and Ballylemon

also known to his school chums as Giddy, I believe
A top hat?
You could always fill Camerons empty seat with another tory empty head,
how about IDS, for starters?

"Who do you suggest boxtops, because it will be hard to find such a person on such a left-wing site as this."
AOG, have you thought of throwing your hat into the ring? Or would the Tories be too middle of the road for you?
This is not 'a left wing site' as a poll of voting intentions (of AB members) posted last year shows.
Why would you need anyone. Empty chair v empty head sounds fair to me.
As I said on the other thread, I'd back the chair to win.
For Hattersley they had a tub of Lard.

For Cameron, they could have a bowl of Eton Mess.

A traffic cone 'no waiting'.
"You could use 1000s of Daily Mail as your aide memoire..."

INTERVIEWER: And what do you say to that question?

AOG: Er (checks Mail) Walk in bath at only £500!

That's rich judging by your choice of reading material.

what is his actual excuse for not attending all the debates ?
Anne,
They are not obligatory, so Cameron says he doesn't want to.
I know he says he does not want to do them, but has he given a reason as to why ?
Even if dave can get a Tory colleague to take his place at these debates, has he thought what it is going to look like ?

dave is the Prime Minister, who also happens to be a Tory. If everybody else is willing to appear in front of Paxo, and he can't or won't, what conclusion will people draw, when a serving PM is refusing to appear and defend his Government's record for the last 5 years ?

Someone has asked if this is a left-wing plot ? Well, as Farage is going to appear and dave is not, a left wing plot is the very last thing it is. dave has dug himself a big hole here, and he hasn't stopped digging yet.

As I have said, I am not a huge fan of these debates as they just descend into some kind of panel game, like Celebrity Squares, with suits. But if everybody else is willing to appear, and the Tories are not, then let the debates go ahead, and people can make their own minds up.
Here is what dave's best mate, Cleggie had to say yesterday ::::
