My daughter bought quite a lot of sliced roast beef and a large pork pie for a family tea that was cancelled at the last minute, can she freeze both and for how long please.

Not sure about freezing cold cooked meats, but in any case, if she sends it to me I will ensure that it is suitably disposed of gastronomically. She can chuck in the pie as well if she likes.
I personally wouldn't freeze either, they could have been frozen before then defrosted to sell on the Deli. This is my personal opinion but others may think differently, I'd be very wary of causing any problems with regard to food poisoning et al. Perhaps it might be advisable to google the question and glean your info from there regarding food safety.
dunnitall, if food has previously been frozen it must be labelled as such regardless of who sells it.
I'd freeze it as indeed I have done many times.
Thanks hc I did actually wonder about that after posting. However as I said, it's personal opinion that I wouldn't freeze it but then maybe I'm fussier than most.
Why wouldn't you freeze it? It's not likely to have been frozen before, unless it is stated.
Definitely freeze it.
I'd freeze the whole lot, and eat it whenever she feels she wants to eat it, maybe not for six months but certainly a month or two.
I'd eat the lot... in the time it took to write your post!
Yum Yum!
Slice the pie and put the beef into individual/useable portions then freeze. Use within a reasonable amount of time. i.e. within a few months... and no longer than a year.
