bad luck but the UK has no lemon laws so she'll have to rely on adverse publicity to get a replacement/refund. As far as the dealers are concerned hell will freeze over before then will replace it. She'll have to start litigation I'm afraid.

wow what an answer, hopefully it wont get to that stage.
A lot of cars have dedicated forums so it might be worth checking to see if others have had similar problems.

Similarly take a look at the website for Honest John who writes for The telegraph, no doubt there are other similar sites.

In general Googling the car and the problems may show up others who have had similar problems and whether they have found a satisfactory resolution.

You could try a different Ford dealer and/or contact Ford UK.
What is the Car's problem? have you thought about trading Standards, but remember the car 9 years old, did you purchase that car from a dealer & was it bought lately & causing the Problem?

Isn't 64 the present 'plate?
9 years old TWR? It is a 64 plate!

///With new registration plates being released in March and September each year, the 15-plate will be replace the 64-plate in March 2015.///
Something is telling me it's 2004, We will see.
OK TWR so you think it is a 2004 for some odd reason, that doesn't make sense if you think the car is 9yrs old!

https://www.uk-car-discount.co.uk/news/new-car-2014

New Car 14 Plate Registration. We are taking lots of orders this week for the
new 64 registration plate which commences 1st of September 2014.
2004 TO 2015, Can not count, 11 years.
If you look at my Link TWR its a 2014 Ford Ka as jesmond has posted previously
I will go back to bed, what is the cars problem?
It might be worth trying a different Ford dealer, explaining the situation so far. Or even an independant garage.
they HAVE to solve the problem , its under warranty also when theres an issue they get FMC involved...
Question Author
thanx for all replies and yes to those of you who said it is a 2014 (64) plate car. it seems as if this car could be on the mend as they seem to think it has to have its ecu unit and something else to do with the engine management replaced at least thats what i think they said. the car was brought from a ford dealer to their other dealer which was a different car maker dealer as this was a dealer she has dealt with before and overall with her car being traded in, and extra to pay, that new car was a great offer, but not really as it had al load of problems. anyway she has had use of a courtesy car and hopefully hers will get sorted soon.

UPDATE, well the car is still not fixed and ford are sending a field engineer this week, but i have to say that the timeline of all this has been terrible and ford are very slow on it, their customer service is very bad but i bet this wouldnt happen in the us as their customer service is great (friend told me about a problem they had) just wish i used something like twitter or something so this could be tweeted and passed to the world to see
