I need to replace a rechargeable battery. It is a Ni-Cd.
All the replacements available are Ni-MH, which I know is more up to date.
Will the Ni-MH be compatible with my original charger, without damage to
charger or battery?

Personally, I'd take no chances and buy a suitable charger.
My charger has a switch to choose one or the other, which isn't a good sign re compatibility.
