Hi peeps, got a prob with my drive Seagate 1TB on 1 of my computers i suddenly started getting a SMART warning message on bootup that my HDD was failing and that I should back up my files etc and also it would not boot,i have taken it out and connected it to my other computer and could not access it so ran chkdsk on it but still no improvement I have also tried to format it but it says windows was unable to complete format i also ran HDD regenerator which found a lot of bad sectors amounting to just over 1 GB, can I partition my drive and allocate the bad sectors to that partition in some way or is the HDD caput just seems a shame to loose 1TB just for the sake of a few gig of damage, hoping some one can help and thanking you in advance

hdd are cheap. To be honest I'd scrap it if formatting won't work. I got a second- hand western digital caviar blue 500gb from ebay for £20.
