I thoroughly enjoyed this whole series and last night was probably the best so far. There is a lot of mumblings and grumblings about the BBC and the licence fee today, but if they can produce quality drama like this, then I will gladly continue to give them my money, ad infinitum.

Hope we don't have to wait too long for the sequel ! Get back to work Mrs Mantel !

She's already written the next book in the trilogy entitled Bring up the Bodies
and the third one The Mirror and the Light is a work in progress.
I got about half way through the first book and gave up .
The TV production was very good though .I have to admit I wasn't too impressed after the first episode but am glad I stuck with it.
Bring up the Bodies was part of the TV series, so just one more to be be televised (assuming she completes it).

I wish I'd seen the stage version. I suppose I could always read the books!

jno...have a go at reading the books if you like, but I wish you the very best of luck, as I found them to be next to unreadable. I'm afraid the woman needs a good Editor, not a 3rd Booker Prize.
Excellent drama. Loved every minute.
This is auntie beeb at her best!
Auntie at her very finest. I loved everything about it - I enjoyed it far more than the books which I found to be extremely hard work.
I too enjoyed it though the first episode was a bit slow. I didn't read the books, the reviews put me off, the description of her narrative style sounded sounded convoluted and confusing. Might give it a try now though.
For me this is the beeb at her best, setting the bar high for commercial channels to raise their game from programmes aimed at the lowest common denominator, eg the dire Big Brother and I am a celebrity
I looked for ward to each episode and was not disappointed
Loved it, made a point of making time to see the last one. It'll be back!
