This may seem a silly question, but my mum us 87 shortly and for the last 6 years I have been taking her to the Dancing on Ice show which she loved, they aren't doing anymore now and I am wracking my brains for other ideas. Has anyone any suggestions. Thanks.

A West End musical? There are a couple of good ones on at the moment. One about the Kinks, and one about Carole King. Might not be your mum's era, musically, but still enjoyable.
What about the Stricly come dancing live tour?

Thanks for your replies, the strictly show would have been great she loves that but we !I've in Manchester area and it's finished now. Thanks anyway.
flutter, get a professional photographer to visit her at home & have some family pics done. I've done this & also presented her with flowers.
My mum is 88 next week. She is wheelchair bound and has been for a number of years. I have just ordered some flowers to be sent and she usually likes either M&S vouchers or WHSmith vouchers as she reads such a lot and gets a lot of pleasure from her books. It doesn't seem very exciting but that is what she likes.
Does she like ballet? Moscow City Ballet are doing Giselle (I recently saw this at Richmond) and Swan Lake in Manchester http://www.manchestertheatres.com/operahouse.htm
my mums 88 she loves doing magazine competitions so i make her up a box of stationary, envelopes stamps pen erasers etc .my inlaws are in their mid 90's and we send them for example tea or breakfast from harrods fortnam and masons etc
at that age occasion is more important than things..a fun family portrait sounds good..make it a fun ..not formal one..and meal with close family...will be great...

i had a photo with siblings and parents a wee while ago but we told the photographer..no poses..we just threw arms around each other and laughed ..great great pic !
