Following on from a thread last week, now that we have all had a chance to watch ‘UKIP: The First 100 Days’, what are your thoughts on the way the subject was handled by CH4?

I’m particularly interested in the opinions of those who have actually seen the programme, rather than have simply read about it.

Personally, it seemed pretty believable (at first), seeing as it was based on news items we have already seen, and what the UKIP manifesto lays out.

The only far-fetched dramatic devices I could see were the redundancies due to the withdrawal of aerospace manufacturers (no way that could possibly happen within three months of an election), and the whole cabinet resignation nonsense.

…but then it went to hell in the last 20 minutes where dramatic licence was stretched to breaking point, and all believability was lost.

Your thoughts?

If UKIP won the general election there would follow a period of severe disillusionment as their fans realised that they are just the same as other parties only far less equipped to carry out their populist agenda even than anyone else
Farriercm....continue to ignore the Trolls !
Apparently there's another provocative mockumentary style drama coming out on Sky 1 next week : 'Milliband - what a useless gonk'.

The makers reassure us it's vital cutting edge drama that doesn't shy away from tackling the big questions, and not just shameless electioneering propaganda.
Highly unlikely ichkeria! Your futuristic assessment is probably on the nail, though.

If you think Farrier is an asset you are just so wrong, he/she is what the more politically aware see as a typical Labour supporter, uninformed and beyond any assistance we can offer, You may well win, but if you do the Country will lose yet again!

PS, if you keep calling me a Troll I will deal with it!

It would seem that farrier has a good mentor .If ABers don't agree call those better informed than you trolls and if all else fails you can go running to Auntie and cry they have been ganging up on you!! Some lessons in human anatomy wouldn't go amiss like where is your backbone for starters?
// His stance on immigration is part of his manifesto isn't? //

Have UKIP published their manifesto yet? Farage famously disowned the last one, and the chap tasked with writing the new one was recently sacked because he had not come up with any policies.

Anyone with half a brain cell,or maybe not it may appear, does realise that Mr Nigel Farage's main concern and focus is on dealing with uncontrolled and illegal immigration. After all that is why he is accused of running a party of right wing racists which are a watered down version of EDL and BNP. Would you be surprised if immigration appeared on the unpublished manifesto to come? I wouldn't and so would 99.9% of the population I guess.
