I'm searching for the name of 1984/5 TV drama probably set in pre/post World War II. I remember the opening title sequence involving a pistol being shot and what looks like a 1940 black Austin Wolseley crashed into a tree and exploded in a night time forest at the end. I think the series was shown every Sunday evening and I think it may have been a spy drama and one of the cast looks like Julian Rhind-Tutt.

A Breed of Heroes in 1984?
Question Author
Not quite janbee. A Breed Of Heroes was made in 1994 according to IMDB.
Julian Rhind-Tutt was in A Breed of Heroes in 1984 according to his profile on Wikipedia
Question Author
Don't know which source to trust, but Googling the images, A Breed Of Heroes does not appears to be the TV drama I remembered.
Julian Rhind-Tutt was born in 1968 so he would have been 16 in 1984.
Have you looked at:

After the War
Love in a Cold Climate
Brideshead Revisited
We'll Meet Again
You could also try the following war-related dramas:

Reilly - Ace Of Spies (1983)
Caught In A Free State (1984)
Mr Palfrey Of Westminster (1984)
Jenny's War (1985)

Could it have been the series "Danger UXB", about bomb disposal servicemen.
Question Author
@ whirlyhurly, Thanks but it's not Danger UXB. Nevertheless the opening title is pretty awesome.
