I'm 16, and have an appointment to get on some kind of medication. I'm home schooled, depressed, i can't sleep, i'm possibly bipolar and have terrible social anxiety. I often have panic attacks when i go out, this never used to be a problem because i never went anywhere, but now i'm driving and trying to get a job and it's really affecting me negatively. My sleep scheduled is completely reversed. At any social event i avoid contact and always go home early. Now it's all gotten so bad that i can't focus on my school work, its like i have adhd but i dont. What will they put me on? One med? multiple meds? my appointment is a month from now :(

If you are only 16 then it is illegal to drive in the UK.
when you click on your profile, you only joined this site in the last half hour. Did you have a recommendation from a member?
What makes you think you might be bipolar and do you have a private home tutor or do your parents school you?.

First point:
This is a UK-based website. While we're happy to try to help people from all over the world, our medical practices and mental health support services might work in a very different way to those in the USA, where I assume that you're based (because 'gotten' is archaic English here and young people can't drive a car until age 17. Also home-schooling is almost unknown here).

So you might get better responses on a US-based website, such as one of these:
https://answers.yahoo.com/
or
http://www.answerbag.com/

However (if the US approach is similar to the one which is most likely to be used in the UK) a short-term course of a single anti-depressant (such as Termazepam) might be prescribed simply to 'break the cycle' but far, far more important, some cognitive behaviouiral therapy (or other form of counselling) would probably be recommended.

This link, from the our NHS might help. (Place your cursor over the green bar, at the top of the page, to access lots of useful links):

To answer everyones questions: I previously had an account but forgot my password, so i made a new one today. I am in the US and we can start driving at age 15 here. Yahoo answers sucks to be honest, so i came here. My therapist says i may be bipolar. My home schooling is done by a private tutor.
Citalopram and Mirtazapine are commonly used, as well as Amitriptyline (Elavil, Endep, Levate)
