Good Morning Early Birds!

Thursday. No frost this morning, it's dry and calm. Showing 4°C outside.

A most enjoyable lunch yesterday at the Rose and Crown. The ambiance of the building was welcoming as soon as we walked through the door. Quite a varied menu. I opted for an old favourite, ham, eggs and chips. All local produce, and it all tasted as it should, the chips were big and chunky cooked to perfection, fluffy inside and crispy outside. Very reasonably priced too. The barmaid/waitress was very good, a ready smile, well turned out and nicely spoken. a very pleasent experience which I shall repeat.

If I remember rightly it was called the Cricketers Home, or something like that anyway.

Yup. The one on Wilton road is one we used occasionally. Well, it was 40 odd years ago!

oh has just wandered in clad only in his pants..not a pretty sight..best get the kettle on and revive the poor wee soul..I worked him soooo hard yesterday of course...lol...wait till he has to shift the lot round the back !
