Oh help please!! I've got about 16 stitches in my face. I've had a BCC removed and they are ITCHING ITCHING ITCHÎNG. They don't look infected and everyone tells me that healing sutures do itch. I'm not having them out until next Friday. I don't know if I can stand it until then. What can I do to stop the itching?

I"d try a little lavender oil, it usually helps my mozzie bites and other nasties (must be getting to you, shoes, you've posted in Business & Finance )

Hydrocortisone Cream 1% which you can get OTC.

That should stop it itching.

Thanks Sqad.
best left alone. maybe a cold compress, IMO.
You cannot get HC 1% over the counter as chemists are not licensed, so as it is obviously your face send someone on your behalf.
Sorry should have said not Licensed to sell it for the face. I have to ensure I stock between flare ups of my allergies otherwise it's a trip to the Gp, as soon as they see my face I get a big NO from the pharmacists.
Maybe there's a reason not to use it on the face then.
Not according to my GP, or many others who happily prescribe it, apparently it is safe enough to use on babies eyes in hospitals.
