My internet home page is BT.COM but when I put in a search it searches The Web. Does anyone know how I can change it to search Web U.K. only. Do you need any more information. I have BT Infinity.

Thank you.

I think it depends on the web search engine you are using. Some, sometimes offer a tick box to filter results. Others at other times do not.

I assume your home page has a web search facility that doesn't offer that ?

What you might try is putting UK in the search box as part of what you are looking for. Might help.

Or look for a web crawler you an download and install, it may have more options.
It was ideal when the Search Bar had tick boxes for UK or Worldwide.

I find that typing UK only at the end the Search box entry gives the result you require.

I use Google all the time. When I use it I just put UK after every search...its as simple as that. Why would you use any other search engine ?
@mikey......Because, to say the least, Google is very inquisitive and tracks all your moves. For example, if you were to browse a particular car manufacturer, the next time you visit Answerbank you could have Adverts all around you for cars of a specific make.

well if you are going to get adverts anyway - you may as well get ones that MIGHT interest you.
Nobody needs to put up with adverts on the net.
There are apps available if you want them.
So who really cares what google point their way.
Hans...I have Adblock installed on my PC, which seems to stop all ads from appearing on AB. You know more about this than I do, so am I doing the right thing ?
@mikey.....I've been out all morning so it's only now that I have the chance to follow-up your last comments.

Having Adblock will stop your receiving unwanted adverts but one must Not really mention that in Answerbank which relies on revenue from adverts; be they targeted or otherwise. However, Google will have installed a few cookies in your computer/laptop and may have established your E/mail address and possibly sold it on to others and you could become bombarded with lots of Spam.

If you want to be sure that you are Not being tracked by a search Engine then you need to install 'Duck Duck Go' or a UK search Engine such as 'Mojeek'

There are other Search Engines which Do Not Track one's movements, including one which has a very appropriate name...' HideMyAss ' but I wouldn't recommend it, because it is Not a free service.
