Are you all bored with Family history now? I have never had as much use out of my ancestry and FMP subscriptions as I have had recently, they are essential to what I do, what's up? Everyone sorted their problems out?

Hi Boxtops, it's unusual to find the place deserted! Wondered if AB had done some housekeeping, for a second, I'm over that idea now lol
Still got the two brick walls (3rd wrong death cert). But have had success in finding a friend's ancestors back to 18th century.
I am finding Ancestry difficult now, they don't put the parish records on the results.
My SIL is the whizz on this in our family, really looking forward to being able to track down some of the Wills now those records are being released, the info on there might fill in some gaps.

I lost enthusiasm when they started using the excuse that the PO had changed their pricing scheme to justify folding any BMD certificates in half before sending. I should cancel my subscription really. I'm still paying it each month.
I have used this site in the past and obtained very good results.
I now use the "Birmingham History Forum as there are a lot more people on there who are very helpful. When other people cannot be helped I have.
reccomended the Answer Bank to them
carolegif, you may find familysearch.org useful for research as well as ancestry, and it's free. A number of county's are setting up their own online resources, I transcribe for the Lancashire one, I know Cornwall is well advanced.

Sorry, before the Pedants' Army rises up, should have typed "counties".
I have found out that one of my Ancestors was sent to Australia for 8 years for felony.

Will look up the year tomorrow, to late now.
would love to help you "keep your hand in" so here goes, i am in touch with an answerbanker who has the unusual surname of siney and she is still trying to find out what happened to her grandfather christopher, she knows where he was born, who he married but knows nothing after the mid 1930's and as far as the family knows he never got divorced from his wife (her gran) who died years ago, so good luck DJ
