There is obviously going to be a lesbian story line. There was a reference to it early last year but I missed it by a country mile. I don't think it is needed in this program.

Lardhelmet it was suggested she was something more than the Barmaid she told Police she was. She could have been a drug addict .
"Between who?"

Nurse Patsy and St Johns Nurse Delilah.
So were there no gay women before the 90's then? No there were no gay storylines in the book, but they certainly toned down the story about the Ship's Woman. many of the stories now were not in the original books. I think they used all the ones they could, some of the stuff in the original books is much too harrowing

Nothing wrong with a bit of lez action! Although Sunday evening might be a bit early!
I don't think this current series is based on any of the original books. Jenny has gone and this series is "inspired by the memoirs of Jennifer Worth" so these are just new stories based around the old characters and setting.
^^^ plus new characters

I found "Call the Midwife" in one of those mad rushes in a book store in an airport. It was a real panic purchase as I had forgotten my intended read-on-the-plane book at home. This was 4 years ago and I still rate it as one of the best books I have ever read.
Why was no-one too worried last week when the man with heart failure had his enormous oxygen cylinder very close to a large blazing fire?
Before the days of elf & safety?
In the trailer, it shows the policeman saying to a woman that her husband had been found with another man - now this could mean that they were missing and found or in bed together?
