Nell disappeared into some brambles, I was just about to whistle her out when out came the rabbit, I shot it, Nell then came out, followed the trail and picked it up and brought it to me.
She has not started formal retriever training yet and she hadn't met a rabbit before......

I just typed out a long answer to the previous answer and it disappeared when I hit the wrong button.
It was (in my opinion) a balanced (not purely emotional) view of hunting and killing furry things plus the far eastern delicacy of cats and dogs.
But my momentary surge of mental energy and logic has dissipated and I have tired myself out.
Jasmin - your wee boy is gorgeous. I love GSDs. Both my dogs were half a GSD. I love the long haired ones but they are all gorgeous. I would love a dog but one of my current flatmates is a tad on the irritable side and quite dangerous (sister of the chap in my avatar).
