Had a light dusting overnight, but it's not snowing here at the mo (East Lancs).
The forecast says that snow is on its way, so I'm having a day off .... I'm a window cleaner !!!!
All clear in Salford - a bit of last night's hail on the windscreen, but not frozen

Mrs V is working 2 nights, and is thinking of taking taxis for the 5 minute trip to work!
OK here in N.Notts, it was snowing about half an hour ago but it didn't settle and the suns shining now
Correction - it's just coming down heavy, out of a clear sky!

Serves me right!
Well I am finding the sun a bit bright this morning.

It is showing up the smears on the windows, but I'll cope somehow.
Even though I don't drive this is seriously going to ruin my plans for today. It's tipping it down with snow and every 15 minutes another bus is cancelled. Today out of all days :(

No, I have no problem with bluish skies and brilliant sunshine, it's lovely,
bit cool, a light wind, and the Estuary looks good.
(N/Kent)
Well I live in Sheffield (well on the outskirts) as tha knows and all my buses that I can catch from Sheffield centre are kaput. Looks like if I can get into Sheffield I will be walking it the rest of the way. Not happy!
So to speak on behalf of the bus drivers I'd probably say; It's nice to clock off early but the morning shift was terrible, having to listen to be winging and moaning about how they had to walk an extra 25 metres from where I should of stopped my bus (in a great big ditch of snow that would get me stuck).
Its snowing very heavily here at the moment and I was half an hour longer getting here, but I prepared myself for it
Ric.ror: I'm going to be prepared also to have to walk 14 miles back home. It's not catching me out! Well it probably will as I'll end up frozen stuck to a bush or something but it will be comical non the less.
Oh when I said I prepared myself I did not mean I walked - I was sat on the bus for an extra half an hour
Ric.ror: Given how bad the snow is, I'm expecting to have to walk home.
We've had about a foot of snow since 6 am. I was reading on another post that someone else (self employed) had a nightmare in Sheffield and that was hours ago - it's been snowing constantly since.
Still beautifully sunny and clear here, hardly a cloud to be seen
Well things have changed a bit since I posted at 08:34.It's now snowing quite heavily and it's settling we've got about an 1" at the moment.Trish sent me up to Tesco to get some extra milk and bread and one off the check out girls who comes from Whitwell, about 15 miles away was finishing early because her husband had phoned up to tell her that it was almost a blizzard there, getting worse and moving our way.

Had to change the angle of the blinds in the lounge, couldn't see the screen for sunshine, terrible!
;o)

I dare not ask if " You are Prepared " the last time I asked this I had some Sarci replies, not to worry eh!!
No snow here. OH said there was a small bit on his way to work. I think he's working in Silverstone at the moment.
I'm fed up now, we have a few clouds at last.
