I know from the next tax year it will be possible to transfer £1050 of my tax allowance to my spouse, I also know you can apply for this on-line, but other than that, I can't find any other information. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

No help there Baldric, other than saying you can apply on-line, it doesn't offer info on how to!
Apologies, wrong information in above link, please ignore.

I've already got that info Baldric, it says you apply on-line, but not how to!

Ok, you google it!
;-)
You download the form, fill it in on you computer, print it, then post it to HMRC.
The form isn't on that link, BM
Eh?
I used your very helpful link, clicked on the html link that it brings up and that opens an online form that it sure looks like one can fill in. The notes say you print out out.
I've seen similar things like this from government websites, where you can't apparently save the web document. It's one of those surely?
My very helpful link is for a different tax allowance transfer altogether, not the one that is coming in to force this year.

There's a form here (fill in, Print off)

That's "married couples allowance", not the same thing.

OK, done quite a bit of Googling for this one, did see, on an Accountants Site, dated Nov 14 that they were still waiting for the HMRC Form needed,
Perhaps they still are?
I suspect there will be a lot of people wanting to do this, just over 3 months to go, I foresee crashed sites and backlogs.
The rules mean it is not available to all couples, so you may want to check eligibility here (apologies if you already have but others may find it useful anyway)

hc. Oh dear. As one of the very reliable contributors, I assumed your link was kosher and merely set about opening it to see what it was all about, without reading on, including your post underneath.

This allowance is a new one on me too.
I did put a rider directly underneath the misinforming post, BM. I have spent a little more time on this but can only conclude the forms are not yet available as already suggested by Baldric.

Update: I have just received an e-mail from HMRC saying they hope (?) to announce details of the service before the end of February. Incidentally the amount that can be transferred will be £1060. If it isn't in place by the start of the new tax year, it will be back dated.
Maybe they'll wait until after the May election since Labour is commited to scrapping this change
