It's a week tomorrow since I had cataract removal but my eye is still really sore. There is no white in my eye, just yellow and bloodshot and under the top lid it's just completely full of blood. It still feels as sore today as it did last week Should I get it seen to and who would I see for advice? Many thanks. x
If the answer to any of the above is on the affirmative, then go back to the Eye Dept. If however none of the above is happening, then give it another week.
Thanks sqad and Pete. Eye is probably no worse than it was last week but I just can't see any improvement. Vision is still not good but I suppose it's early days although I know some people say they see a difference almost within days.
Thanks mallyh and Cupid for your kind words. I do have drops Cupid and I use them 4 times a day but they smart like mad, I suppose because of them being so bloodshot. Will leave it 'til next week and if I'm still worried, I'll phone the eye ward as suggested. xx
Hi Danny, I've followed all the instructions, done as I was told to do. Had my other eye done last December and had no problems whatsoever. I felt the different surgeon I had this time was rough with me and very abrupt in his manner, and he told me my eye was bloodshot as soon as he had finished the op.
a week on, I'd be calling the clinic (you don't necessarily have to speak to the surgeon, who is doubtless far too important to speak to enquiring patients anyway), as Sqad and Pete suggest. At best they can set your mind at rest, at worst invite you back to be looked at.
