Having recently been burgled whilst on holiday & the dogs were in kennels I would like to know if it is possible to record the dogs barking on my dvd recorder & make a continuous loop recording that could be timed to play at selected times during the day when we are away again. Does anyone know if this is possible ( or buy a commercial recording that would do the job) ?

VHG we are quite isolated
I would have thought a PIR detector could be wired up to an alarm recording of barking dogs instead of the more usual bell/siren.

Thanks for the link Canary42
Have you thought of getting someone to stay while you are away and have the real dogs barking?
