The gossip between the women was so funny though. Timing was perfect.

Stephanie Cole is my favourite.

Yes she's great too
Ronnie Barker was brilliant, but what little I have seen of this reincarnation of the series is very poor.
Ditto. An insult to the original.

I don't like rehashes of programmes, they are rarely as good as the original :-(
Agree with Hopkirk about Barker...

This version is rather lame and lacks the chemistry for me that Barker had with the characters..

Oh it's not a patch on the original non p c version. I used to enjoy Brigit Forsyth as Thelma in "The Likely Lads".
Didn't see it this week, but last week's episode seemed to be a selection of 5 minute sketches just cobbled together, not been written as an entire episode with a story line. Nowhere nearly as good as the original !
Haven't watched this re-make, but it could never match the original. Will be the same when Poldark comes back with a different cast, will just be pining for Robin Ellis :(

I love it, it's going to take a while to bed in but I've laughed out loud. The bit with the four older ladies last night was wonderful. You can tell it's written by the same writer.

It's been great, the old cast back are still wonderful and the new ones a great addition.... really enjoyed it, hope there's more

Paula Wilcox is still a fine looking woman.. and if Barbara Flynn could come back too...;0)
I watched the one off David Jason episode when it was on ages ago. Haven't bothered with this series. Once was enough for me.
I was surprised to find it mildly enjoyable (I was in-and-out). Stephanie Cole is always worth time and I quite enjoyed fitting faces from the past into present parts. It was, of course, hugely predictable in every way. At least it was not offensive and a family could watch it.
