Every few months I have my mother on the phone asking what her password is for this or that. I have told her on several occasions to put on back of calender. My brother did this at Christmas but forgot to put sky on her calender so it was all his fault!!
If like me you have a poor memory put passwords etc in book or back of calender. I have found using old car registration number a good thing to use but remember not to throw old documentation out as you may forget it.

## I have found using old car registration number a good thing to use ##

Thats worse, I cant even remember where my present car papers are, never mind old ones!
Nice tip for a password. I remember the registration number of my first car and the registation number of my first boyfriend's (the first boyfriend who had a car that is). Funny how some things stick in your mind and others disappear into the ether.
I can't even remember my current one! I was stopped by the police years ago, they asked if the car was mine I said yes, asked for reg no. I said whatever it says on the plate. They weren't happy fortunAtely I had all the documents on me.
I sometimes use an old staff number - I can remember it with no problem.

You can get programmes/apps to store numbers but I don't know much about them.

Like you Gavmacp I have an atrocious memory and I admit that I get Firefox to remember the not so important ones.

Would she be better using one word and adding to it so for Amazon it would be

ChickenAma

For sky it would be

ChickenSky

Etc

I have a type of address book and keep them all in there in alphabetical order but have to take the book with me on weekends away, holidays etc because if I forget said book I am lost.
We've got a little notebook, they're all in there.
I have the password manager programme on my computer. That way I only have to remember the one for that. I can never remember them all.
Have you got a link to the Rant?
Lol :-)
I have an alphabetical notebook with them all in. I've had to change a few lately and crossed them out, but I still look at the old ones at times. I can't rely on my memory lately.
Hi luv, could you nip round please?
Waves to Pixie
Don't really have a hassle with passwords... but even in the Falklands my missus would still get in touch because she couldn't remember hers.....
Hi sibs xx sorry, went to work:-)
A story of forgetfulness, but not of passwords.

A few yearts ago BT used to allow you to nominate family and friends for a discounted calling circle.

They even told you the numbers you rang most often to help you choose.

My elderly Uncle found that his most commonly called number was the helpline for his answermachine manufacturer.
