I have an 18 carat white gold ring with three diamonds that I have had for over 40 years. It just sits in a drawer. How would I go about getting a value and selling it for the best price.
Thank you

Take it to two or three independent jewellers (NOT big high street chains).
Or an auction house when they give free valuations. Where abouts in the country are you?

Thank you both for your answers. I am on NW Kent hc.
I tried this once, with 2 inherited diamond/emerald rings which were so much too large for me that they could not be resized. No jewellers would touch them for fear of their being stolen goods. I got a not-very-brilliant price for them at auction, but at least then I did not have to insure them any more.
