Nexus 7 Tablet Won't Charge

6 month old Nexus tablet will no longer charge from charger, so I have to connect it to my laptop. Will I have to buy the same charger, or can I try one of the ones I already have? Not sure if this would damage the tablet. I wonder if Argos would replace the charger after such a short time. Many thanks.

My blackberry phone charger charges my tablet without problem but another charger drains it.

Go back to Argos and see what they say

Things to check if you're considering using another charger:

1. Ensure that they both supply DC current (or AC if that's what your current charger uses, although it's unlikely). You should see 'DC' or, probably more likely this symbol:

on both chargers.

2. Check that they provide the same voltage. (e.g. '5.0V')

3. Check that the current rating of the one you want to switch to is the same, or higher, than that of the old charger. (e.g. '2.0A')

4. Assuming that they provide DC power (as they almost certainly will) check that the polarity of the tips are the same way round.

5. Check that the tips are the same size.

However, having written all that, if there's a USB connector within the power supply lead (which always provides 5V DC, with the polarity the same way round) then any other charger with a USB connector in it should work.
