Former prime minister Tony Blair writes in the Observer newpaper that an abuse of religion, is a common motive behind recent acts of terrorism.

"The battles of this century, are less likely to be the product of extreme political ideology - like those of the 20th century -but they could easily be fought around the questions of cultural or religious differences"

This scripture shows why - Mark 7 v 6-8

The connection between extreme religion and death is simple. They survive because they showed that they were more than willing to kill to ensure the domination of their cult and would murder anyone who stood in their way.

Moreover the Abrahamic religions came ot he fore because their warriors were most fierce. The vanquished knew their own gods were not as powerful. Under such a system the most violent always rise to the top.

Atheism cannot beat religion with violence and being drawn into it to fall into the traps of their game.

We must stand for logic and vanquish their superstitions from the minds of the vulnerable children they indoctrinate. This planet will only see peace when all religion is ridiculed by everyone.
Who said so? he lied..

You know the Bible has had a fight to live. Its enemies that have sought its destruction and tried to prevent its circulation have been the very men in Christendom who claim to be its teachers. No one should be deceived into thinking that the Bible is the cause of the evils and hypocrisy found in Christendom today.

The Bible is too plain-speaking and truthful for the leaders of Christendom to teach, let alone follow. Its uncompromising stand for truth and righteousness exposes these false teachers.

People of so-called heathendom should not reject the Bible because of atheism the crimes of those religious hypocrites who render mere lip service to the Holy Scriptures.

Would one blame the publishers of a dictionary or a newspaper for a crime done by a man who may have had a copy in his possession at the time of committing the crime?.

So why blame the God of the Bible or the Bible itself for your wrongdoing and delinquent acts? Actually the Bible is God’s freedom-giving gift to men of all the earth. It should be read and examined without prejudice.

The knowledge it contains means life. It brings freedom. It tells for sure what will happen to you and this world of confusion. It alone holds out the only hope of happiness and a future of prosperity.

Did the dictionary tell the person to commit a crime?
goodlife (no doubt plagiarising) // Actually the Bible is God’s freedom-giving gift to men of all the earth. //

Freedom giving to men. Exactly. It tells men that they are to subjugate women. It is misogynist rubbish.

//It should be read and examined without prejudice.//

Those who examine it and judge it to be good have started from a position where they cannot contemplate any possibility of it being anything but enlightened.

Any objective examination reveals it to be nothing more than the musings of ancient, arrogant, ignorant men.

Even though your conclusions is not unusual, they are the result of modern Biblical criticism, and similar ideas have been taught in religious seminaries for some time the same as atheism.
My criticisms are not unusual because they reflect what is actually in the book. Yes, they are modern criticisms based on enlightened values that don't consider women as possessions of men, advocate genocide or suggest we should kill homosexuals.

The Bible is an anachronism. It looked insightful to the ancient but in modern times only the profoundly ignorant could possibly consider it has any value.
''...The Bible is an anachronism. It looked insightful to the ancient but in modern times only the profoundly ignorant could possibly consider it has any value..''
^^ Wholeheartedly agree with the above comment.
Religion has always made sure of division and been responsible for mistrust of others, faith is a different matter

True, but many have loved the Bible and have been willing to lay down their lives to defend it.

The key to its survival, however, lies in a force greater than human love. The simple reason for the survival of the Bible is that all those who contributed to the writings that make up the Bible wrote under inspiration by God.—Isaiah 40:8
Cold outside, isn't it goodlife. ;o)
Many laid down their lives for Mien Kampf too. Doesn't make it right.
The key to the bibles survival lies In The gullibility of its readers.
goodlife, the word you're looking for is allegedly.
It is claimed in the Bible that it was written under the inspiration by God.

Any author can claim anything about the veracity of their own writings but only the profoundly gullible would accept such a claim made without the slightest evidence.

In fact there is precisely zero evidence for the existence of any god. On the other hand, the Bible itself is so full of objectively incorrect claims that it can only be rationally considered as a work of arrogant ignorance.
What unity was Tony Blair aiming for when he quietly ( almost secretly ) changed to Roman Catholicism . Maybe he was changing from UK government
to Petticoat government.
